Schools or kindergartens are the most important places for students. Schools and kindergartens are the places where students learn, play, and get protection. This means that schools must be trustworthy. However, child abuse by teachers is making it difficult for us to trust the schools and kindergartens.

          Recently, a kindergarten teacher in Songdo slapped a little girl for not finishing her meal. This news shocked many people. People were upset about the news that time. Nevertheless, it is true that child abuse in schools happens even now.

          There are many types of child abuse in schools. First, students get physical abuse. Teachers slap students, hit students with a stick, and sometimes kick students. Second, students get psychological abuse. Teachers use bad words to students and scold students too much. These types of child abuse hurts students a lot.

          In addition, there are many reasons why child abuse must be stopped. Child abuse by teachers cause students to be afraid of teachers and schools. Parents and students wouldn’t trust schools or kindergartens anymore. This is not the end, Child abuse by teachers cause students to suffer mentally or physically. This suffer will affect students’ lives negatively. Therefore, child abuse by teachers make it impossible for students to be protected at school. School must be a safe place that protects students.

          I talked about the problems of child abuse. A dancer Isadora Duncan said, “So long as little children are allowed to suffer, there is no true love in this world.” This shows the importance of child protection. Then, what can we do to stop child abuse by teachers? It’s not too difficult. Just let people know how serious child abuse is right now. It’s our duty to care about child abuse by teachers because they are the ones who have to lead the future. We must not let the future leaders suffer. We have a duty to protect them, and we have the duty to let students study at a place where they can be protected. This duty cannot be done in short time; this takes a long time. It requires everyone’s work, and you are the one who has the duty to do this. Join our campaign. Make people aware of child abuse by teachers, your work and your care can change the world.

          Hello, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Mulan, 김세연. Today, my class is here to tell you how serious child abuse is right now, and why it should be stopped.

          Firstly, I want to tell you about the importance of child protection. Students are the hope of the future. They are the ones who have to lead the future world. If we want a better future for us, we must protect students, so they can grow up well to lead the future. Schools must be the places that do these things. However, child abuse by teachers means that schools are not protecting our future. Child abuse by teachers is an action that leads all of us to a worse future. Child Protection is very important for our better future.

          We feel that child abuse by teachers must be stopped. Therefore, we started this campaign to make people know how serious child abuse is right now. We made posters, did street art, used media, and made a performance. The posters made by the art and design team have creative phrases such as “Don’t hit us please.” Our Street art has creative pictures and phrases as well. The media team used media to research about child abuse. They searched the news, posters, and pictures to help other groups. Also, they are the ones who made posters using the computers. Finally, the play written by the performance team is about a teacher who abused a student, and the problems of child abuse.

          Now, we are about to perform what we prepared. As you watch our play, please think about your role in child protection. Stopping child abuse cannot be achieved by ourselves; it requires your help and care. You little help and care in stopping child abuse can stop the child abuse by teachers. Your work might be seen as useless, but you are the one who can stop it. You are the one who can change the world. I hope you all enjoy our performance! Thank you for listening.
