'We Are Animals' is a short play written by our performance group and will be performed by the group in the final expo.
We Are Animals.
scene 1
(animals vs owners)
narrator- IN
2015, Korea makes a plan of huge animal testing. The government gets agreement
from citizens. They agree to animal testing with their pets. They plan to send
their pets to scientists. However pets notice their owner's plan and they are
trying to tell the owners not to send them.
Dog: I don't
want to get animal test. I want to live.
Cat: Yes, I
want to live too. Don't send us
People1: Okay,
I will not send you.
Narrator: Dog
and cat are escaping from death. How about pig?
Pig: I don't
want to go there. Please, don't send me there. I want to stay here.
People2: No,
you need to go. If you don't want to go there you should give me a meat.
Pig: What?
Narrator: Pig
is going to die. How about chicken?
Chicken: Owner,
please don't send me. I don't want to stay with dirty animals. I am a very
clean chicken.
People3: Oh,
you don't need to go? But you need to go. Or you should give me a egg. You can
choose one.
Chicken: My egg
is clean! I can't give it ti you!
Narrator: Then
the pig and the chicken will get tested.
scene 2
ju ah- let's go
to dr.yj's laboratory.she is the ceo of a cosmetic company that is well known
for it's lipstick color, yet innocent people do not know tons of animals are
sacrificed for a lipstick. despite the cruelty, the government can't find it.
yeon ju- kara,
caroline? how is the laboratory work going on today? did you find some healthy
animals?
caroline- as
you requested sir! we got some chubby hamsters, cats, chicken and a pig!
kara- but,
dr.yj, do we really have to do this work? its not legal and we are so nervous
that we going to be captured.
yeon ju - you
do not want to work here? I gave you a lots of money, enough to pay your loan!
you need more money huh? than why don't you just go out of this company and not
come back forever?
kara- crazy
scientists. let's go , caroline
caroline- ok...
will you give me more money for today? a new flavor came out from chupa choops.
it's watermelon and straw berry special edition....
kara- shut up!
ju ah- yj then
starts the test and finally moves the laboratory to another place.
jeon joo- let's
see , who wants to be tested first...
희은- wait , are you going to save
me?
yeon joo- you
can be alive. go. next!
yeah joon- me

jeong woo- I
want to go home, the place is so damn dirty( british accnt)
yeon joo- then
stay here. there's a bathroom.

Explainer:
These days there are many protesters in our world. However, until now, there
are people who argue about they must have animal testing, so protesters and
people are arguing about animal testing.
Kara: We should
not have an animal test. Animals are theatened by us! They are organisms like
people! We have to think about animals too!
Denny: Then,
how can we live without animal test? We have to invent medicine which can cure
new diseases. These days, there are many new diseases. We have to cure!
Caroline:
That's right. However, there are other methods to replace the animal test.
Denny: What's
that?
Caroline: We
can replace animal test to computer. These days, technology is developing.
There are many different kinds of things which are new with our technology, it
will be easy enough to replace animal testing.
Denny: That
makes sense...
Elizabeth: I
don't agree. If we stop animal testing, the number of animals will exceed
people number. Isn't it make sense?
Kara: Nop.. It
will be good for us when animals are enough. If the numbers of animals are low,
there might be no food to eat. They give people good things.
Elizabeth:
mmm... yeah ... Ha... I..think it might be good to stop animal test and replace
to computer.
Caroline: Once,
Kara and I were workers of animal testing company. We worked hard. However,
after we were fired from that company, we changed our mind to stop animal
testing. We are regretting that we had tested animals.
Kara: It's bad
to test animal. We should not test animal.
Elizabeth: I
changed my mind
Denny: Me, too!
Explainer:
Therefore, people changed their mind to stop animal testing.

To. Companies that make animal testing cosmetic
Hello, we are students who learn English in
camp name GLPS. We are learning about global awareness. Our topic in global
awareness is about animal testing. So we are now going to ask you to stop
making animal testing product. The reason we are only talking to companies that
make animal testing cosmetic is because cosmetic is the most useless stuff to
test animals. We agree to test animal when it is really necessary. For example,
we agree on space project, medical etc.
First
problem of animal testing is that it is morally wrong. People think that
killing another person is very bad and we punish them. However, we don’t really
care about animal’s life. Both our lives and animals lives are very important.
Next
problem of animal testing is that animal testing doesn’t really match with
people. Something that is not harmful for animals could be dangerous to people.
We only share 1.16% with animals. For example, thalidomide which was used to
treat morning sickness was harmful to pregnant women. People who have used
thalidomide had a deformed child.
Third problem of animal testing is that there
is test which can replace animal testing. It even doesn’t have to use living
organism. If we have something better it’s natural to use better thing. For
example, there is something called ‘Episkin’. It is fake skin of people which
can replace animal testing. If we are testing cosmetic we put a cosmetic on
animal’s skin, but if we have Episkin we can test it on Episkin not on animal’s
skin.
Final problem of animal testing is that we are
testing animals for useless reasons. As we told you we agree on testing animal
if it is really necessary but cosmetic is not very necessary. In case of
medical, they have lots of things to take in and it is hard to find out side
effects by prediction. But if we are talking about cosmetic it’s not going to
be very dangerous. Even if something happens it is just about skin problem and
it’s not going to be serious problem.
So
we are asking you guys not to make animal testing products any more.
